Description:

An interactive design module at Northumbria University that saw the application of human-centred design practices. In partnership with Steve Paul Myers, we developed a concept for a time-tracking device aimed at creative professionals to aid in productivity and time management of their working process.

This was an predominantly a small learning exercise to introduce us to user-centered design methodology such as developing personas, creating scenarios and primary research techniques.

CONCEPT DESCRIPTION

The device uses hourly rates and timers to automatically generate invoices and other necessary documents that are print-ready. The interface uses a simple tab system for both navigating the features of the device, as well as a tab system for a variety of input methods. The interface is kept consistent as information moves in a linear direction for ease of use, without massive interruption from workflow.
